Technology and Innovation Support Centre

Through a service level agreement South Africa concluded a partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organisation to stimulate innovation and thus economic growth in South Africa by facilitating access to technological information and by strengthening the capacity of the country to effectively exploit the information found in technology databases. This involves establishing Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) both independently and within associated networks, such within the Office of Technology Transfer network, in South Africa. Companies and institutions who are members of the TISC network receive face-to-face training once a year on a topic of relevant interest and then access to all the World Intellectual Property Organisation Academy Distance Learning Courses.
