Summer School on Intellectual Property and Transfer of Technology

The World Intellectual Property Organisation Summer School on Intellectual Property and Transfer of Technology takes place annually for 2 weeks at the end of November/ early December. 13 Summer Schools take place across the globe with the one in South Africa being the only one in Africa. Summer Schools are targeted at senior students, young professionals and government officials as they enhance their knowledge of intellectual property and the associated rights as well as how intellectual property should be transferred into society for impact.

The Summer School is rolled out as a collaboration between WIPO, NIPMO and the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission with a local higher education institution partnered in delivering the Summer School.
